Changhen ge
Qiyao is a young Shanghai inhabitant who is destined to live through the historic twists of her city, from the post-war luxurious revelry of nationalists' highest society to Mao's Cultural Revolution and the new China of the 1970s. Several men enter her life, but eventually, Qiyao realizes that only the city is worthy of her loyalty.
