A town ir Russian province. In the written-off airplane a group of strays lives wirh and an adult couple - Alik, the former military pilot, and Mara, his girl. Dreaming of their own house near Moscow children work day and night at the airport bringing all the money to Alik. Once a new boy appears - Kolyan, an orphan. There he falls in love for the first time. But his beloved one betrays him, his "father" dies, and he expelled of "the family". The boy is picked up by the troupe circus acrobat-liliputians. And here Kolyan finds his vocation becoming a "catcher", an acrobat who holds the pyramid of the little artists on his shoulders. And from this moment he will help the weaker…
