The barbarian Middle Ages, late 12th century: the primal instinct for survival is a daily reality, and men are cruel and unforgiving. King Richard the Lionheart is dead. England is drowning in chaos and corruption. A gravely wounded Robin Hood, seeking sanctuary and a safe place to hide, knocks on the doors of the remote Kirklees Priory. There, he falls into the hands of a mysterious woman (played by Jodie Comer), the mistress of the priory. Brigid is a mystical healer whose tenderness disarms Robin, forcing him to believe in goodness for the very first time.
