Pēteris Mālderis, one of the most mysterious Latvians of the last century, embarks on a tragicomic and surreal journey on the brink of World War I. The story's hallucinatory twists and turns touch on real historical events as Pēteris finds himself caught up in the struggle between anarchists, communists, and nationalists, and encounters historical figures such as Lenin, Freud, Stalin along his way. But most powerful is his meeting with the love of his life, free-thinking anarchist Alma. Movie in various (Latvian, German, Russian, French) languages with Latvian subtitles.
