Set in 1880 Mexico, at a time when power controlled justice, two very different women, one a rough-and-tumble peasant peasant Maria (Penelope Cruz) and the other European-educated sophisticate rich Sara (Salma Hayek), team up to become a celebrated bank robbing duo to combat the town's ruthless enforcers, with the help of Quentin Cooke (Steve Zahn).
