- THE WEIGHT OF SIGHT (Norway 2023; 19 min)
A playful and deeply autobiographical essay where the director Truls goes through personal archives to explore the last 20 years of digital development. What kind of images do we get now that everyone is a photographer? How has the internet both captured and freed us? And will Truls even dare to show this film?
- SLOW DOWN THE FALL (Germany 2023; 19 min)
In the Alps, two ski jumpers synchronously rehearse movements, answer generic questions in front of a green screen and pose on the hill in front of the film crew. It is the first reunion for the two athletes since their separation.
- SUDDENLY TV (Sudan 2022; 18 min)
At a besieged protest in Khartoum, the capital of Sudan, a group of young Sudanese create an imaginary television station to meet fellow revolutionaries. What begins as a game becomes an urgent conjuring of a new Sudan.
- MY FATHER (Czechia 2023; 19 min)
A personal essay in which the directress explores how the Iranian Revolution and its turbulent aftermath affected her and her family. She narrates her personal story illustrating it with archive footage, news excerpts and family photos.
- THE MIST (Ukraine 2023; 15 min)
Dear diary, I’m evacuating from Bucha. A personal essay about that very morning when the whole of Ukraine woke up to the howling of sirens and explosions of Russian missiles. An attempt to convey the feeling of disintegration when people find themselves in the gunpoint of a catastrophe. Movement meets stillness. Life confronts death. War ends peace.
