The movie is a part of the RIGA IFF 2023 KIDS' REEL programme.

Erik is a loner who is convinced that his heart is made of stone. The 11-year-old doesn't mind that his parents are always busy with everything else, leaving him on his own. When his family moves to his aunt Brunhilda's inherited property, Erik is very reluctant to stay. When he discovers that another family is living in the house and that his parents want to kick them out, Erik gets to know Maria. She has an idea for how her family could stay – they both need to find Maria's mother, then Erik and his parents won't have to live here. Although it sounds like a great plan, no one mentioned anything about encountering pirates and miracles on their way to the “In Between World”!

A colour-filled adventure film for the family and those who enjoy the rich mystery of the Stranger Things series and the works of Stephen King. Inviting both the protagonists and the audience into a new adventure, the film by experienced Estonian director Ilmar Raag (best known for his Oscar-nominated feature film The Class, 2007) is about the fundamental human desire to feel needed and valued. Co-produced by Latvia, it features Renārs Kaupers, who co-wrote the music and plays the role of the blond pirate Versace. The screenplay was written by Andris Feldmanis and Livia Ulman, who also worked on Viesturs Kairišs' film January (2022).

The movie is dubbed in Latvian.
