

For the sixth season in turn already the film theatre Kino Citadele has the honor of presenting opera live broadcasts in the best sound and picture quality from the legendary Metropolitan opera in New York. Beginning with the new production of Tchaikovsky’s „EUGENE ONEGIN” on October 5th the opera lovers will be able to enjoy the latest masterpieces by the biggest and most prestigious opera house in the world in the following 10 performances during the whole season:
A special event for the Latvian opera-lovers will be the live broadcast of the new performance of Massenet’s tragic piece, “WERTHER”, in spring with the Latvian diva - mezzo-soprano Elīna Garanča as Charlotte.
