With class to the cinema

The modern educational system lays increasingly greater emphasis on schoolchildrens' all-round development using various media of expression. Thanks to many informative films shown by us lately on the big screen, teachers increasingly tend to use the cinema as one of alternative educational tools. The film by Leonardo Di Caprio “11th hour” discussing openly the issue of climate change, viewed by more than 10 000 young people in Latvia, and the film by the young Latvian director Janis Nords “The amateur”, reflecting the harmful impact of drugs on youngsters and on the society at large, can be cited as successful examples.

In order to facilitate the attendance of films by groups of schoolchildren (accompanied by teachers) we start the project “Watching movies with your classmates”.

We offer suitable films and the possibility to book tickets in advance to classes of schoolchildren and the youngsters’ audience.

  • Tickets can be booked for the shows taking place from Monday to Friday till 5 p.m. Schoolchildren pay the price of a regular ticket for a particular show.
  • TEACHERS (up to two teachers per 40 schoolchildren) GET THEIR TICKETS FOR FREE.
  • The teacher books the service by sending the order form to klase@forumcinemas.lv
  • The teacher gets an email in response containing the number of the booking, which has to be produced when the tickets are bought.
  • Tickets should be bought at the ticket offices of Kino Citadele at least 15 minutes prior to the show, otherwise the booking will be annulled.

We invite you to watch films in the movie theatre "Kino Citadele" together with your class-mates!

Teachers just have to fill in the booking form, and the best seats will be reserved!
