Young Juzefa is placed in an orphanage where she quickly learns the rules of the new world and how to defend herself.
Her teenage roomate Julia has a boyfriend Kaspars who is a frequent visitor at nights. Naturally, the appearence of Juzefa becomes an obstacle to their relationship. Juzefa becomes hateful and manipulative, soon loses her good name and the newly gained friends. Juzefa runs away from the orphanage and on her journey meets and old man who changes her perspective on the world.

Today is one of those days when nothing’s quite right in the life of Arthur, a young veterinary. He’s arguing with his wife; a dog of his client has been kidnapped, Arthur’s colleagues spend their time in meaningless chatter; and - above all - Arthur becomes a part of an absolutely awkward family get-together…Then young and mysterious Guna visits him with her giant dog, claiming that the he's sick. Arthur starts to suspect fraud. Could this mild and innocently looking lady be a ‘dognapper’?
