SIA "Forum Cinemas" is the biggest film distributor and exhibitor in Latvia. It represents 5 major film distribution companies (20th Century Fox International, Sony Pictures Releasing International, Universal Pictures International, Paramount Pictures International, Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures) and is the operator of the multiplex film theatre "Kino Citadele". SIA "Forum Cinemas" was founded in 1993 and it is the daughter company of the Finnish company "Finnkino" Oy in Latvia.

It started with the modernisation of picture and sound quality of the film theatre "Pionieris", later called "Oskars". Later film theatre "Daile" was reconstructed into the first duplex film theatre in Latvia. SIA "Forum Cinemas" pays special attention to the quality of picture and sound by installing the latest state-of-the-art equipment in each of its theatres. By improving the choice of films through exhibition of the latest productions and enhancing the entertainment experience, the number of titles exhibited has risen from 50 titles a year to 100.
Moreover, the number of spectators has increased proportionally, especially after opening of Kino Citadele at the end of 2003.

"Finnkino" Oy, the mother company of SIA "Forum Cinemas", with its 25 film theatres, 161 screens and more than 30,000 seats is the largest film theatre chain in Finland and the Baltic countries. In the recent years Finnkino has constantly evolved and continues offering to its audience a special cinema-going experience ensured by the latest digital and 3D technologies, opening of new multiplexes, etc. In 2010, 9.9 million people attended film theatres of the Finnkino chain.

Since March 2011, the mother company of SIA "Forum Cinemas", "Finnkino" Oy, is a part of the Swedish private equity conglomerate Ratos AB.  Its business concept is to generate the highest possible return through professional, active and responsible exercise of its ownership role in strong market players and becoming the leading investment company in the Nordic region.

SIA "Forum Cinema" employs 115 people in its office and film theatre. Atis Amoliņš is the Managing Director of the company.

Until March 21, 2006 SIA "Forum Cinemas" was known as SIA "Baltic Cinema".

Until November 1, 2008 the film theatre "Parex Plaza" was known as "Coca Cola Plaza". Since September 17, 2010 the name of the film theatre is "Kino Citadele".
